About Me
Hi. I'm Nelson Vieira.
I bring 15+ years of experience in graphic/motion/web design, filmmaking and advertising, creating campaigns, stories, and visuals that connect with audiences. That storytelling foundation is what I now bring to SaaS motion design, helping software companies explain complex ideas in a way that feels simple, clear, and engaging.
In the section "SaaS Videos", you’ll find my dedicated SaaS videos. For a broader view of my creative background, you can also explore my advertising and design portfolio here.
SaaS Motion Videos
Here are three conceptual SaaS projects that show how I turn product complexity into clarity and action. Each case study includes the business problem, the animation approach, what to measure, and expected impact backed by industry data.
1. Onboarding Animations
Flowly (Workflow SaaS)
A step-by-step onboarding animation that gets new users to “first value” faster.

New users abandon apps when they don’t quickly understand how the product helps them. Poor onboarding is a major driver of early churn.

A clear, focused sequence that guides the user through the first critical actions: sign-up → create first board → complete one task. Visual cues, micro-interactions, and short captioned steps remove confusion and show value in the first 30 to 60 seconds.

Structured onboarding can increase retention by ~50%, because users who reach "first value" stick around. userguiding.com

Video is a preferred format for teaching product workflows and speeds learning, so an onboarding video directly improves activation. Wyzowl

KPIs to track: time-to-first-value, activation rate, 7-day / 30-day retention, support ticket volume for onboarding issues.

Flowly’s onboarding animation shows new users what to do first and why it matters: fewer questions, faster activation, better retention.

2. Explainer Videos
Zephyra (Chatbot SaaS)
A benefit-first explainer that quickly communicates how Zephyra filters messages and routes leads to sales.

AI and workflow features are often difficult to explain in words alone. Visitors need to understand core value within seconds or they leave.

Problem → solution → result structure: show the messy inbox, demonstrate Zephyra’s filtering & routing in 3 simple scenes, finish with a clear CTA. Visual metaphors + a fast UI tease make the value obvious without technical overload.
Video consistently increases user understanding of a product; nearly all video marketers report improved user understanding after using video. Wyzowl
Explainer video on a landing page is strongly correlated with higher trial and conversion rates (many marketers report measurable lift after adding explainer video). Unbounce+1

KPIs to track: landing page conversion rate, trial sign-ups per visitor, demo requests / sales conversations attributed to the video, reduction in support/sales explanation calls.
Zephyra’s explainer turns a complex feature into a single, memorable value proposition: faster comprehension → more trials.

3. Product Demo
Vittora (Nutrition Guide SaaS)
A straight-to-the-point product demo that shows UI flows and how core features solve a user’s problem.

Prospects in the buying phase want to see the product in action. Without clear demos, sales cycles drag and conversions stall.

A concise walkthrough that follows a realistic user task (create a meal plan, log a meal, view progress). Clean UI captures, motion-callouts, and voiceover tie actions to outcomes; finish with a “what success looks like” outro.

Demo and product videos feed the sales pipeline and help move prospects faster through the funnel; companies using video report improved pipeline activity and conversions. vidyard.com+1
Video also reduces repetitive support questions when customers can self-educate from a demo. Wyzowl

KPIs to track: demo view-through rate, demo-to-conversation conversion, average time in funnel stage (did demo shorten decision time?), pipeline contribution (revenue influenced).

Vittora’s demo shows exactly how your users achieve results: no guesses, fewer questions, faster buying decisions.

Other Video Types SaaS Companies Use
Not every video has to be onboarding, explainer, or demo. Many SaaS teams also grow with formats like:

-
Brand Story / Culture Video: shows mission & team for careers or LinkedIn.
-
Social Media Ads: 10 to 30s attention grabbers for LinkedIn/YouTube. 91% of marketers say video has helped increase user understanding; 86% say it increased web traffic. Wyzowl+1
-
In-App Feature Highlights / Microinteractions: short UI animations or GIFs showing new features. Improves engagement and adoption.
-
Customer Testimonials: real users explaining the product. Build trust and influence decisions, as many consumers say video helps make purchase decisions. blogcadre.com+1
-
Thought Leadership / Educational Content: founder insights or product education shared via LinkedIn or YouTube. In 2024, 88% of video marketers say video increased viewers’ understanding of their product. Wyzowl+1

1. Quick Delivery
A short video call, voice chat, or text (your choice) to understand your SaaS product, goals, and audience. This keeps every step aligned with your needs.

2. Script & Storyboard
I turn your message into a clear story and visual plan. Nothing moves forward until you approve the concept and layout.

3. Teaser | Prototype

4. Full Motion Design & Feedback
I design and animate the complete video. You review drafts, give feedback, and I refine: smooth, transparent, and on schedule.
